The 2021 Graduation was also unprecedented this year. After the graduation ceremony was canceled last year in 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year it resumed as a socially-distanced occasion with certain public health precautions, including masking, social distancing, and limited guests for graduating seniors. Also, rather than walking up on stage, graduates stood in their seats and were acknowledged from there when their names were called. There were also graduation ceremonies held for both the 2020 graduates as well as those who were walking in 2021. For this year's graduating seniors and those who graduated last year with no ceremony, the ability to have an in-person graduation at all was a move toward normalcy, them accomplishing their academic goals, and getting one step closer to the "real world."
